Overview


As the highest peak of the lower Himalayan region, this trek offers splendid views with lesser effort. So for those of you who dont have a week to spare to go into the higher Himalaya, this is just the trek for you. The trek is one of the best place to spot wildlife and birds, so this trek is heaven for bird watcher. It is also one of the safest treks around Dehradun, making your wilderness backpacking experince joyful.




Iterinary


DAY 1: Dehradun/Rishikesh to Pantwari Duration: 4 hours, 99 km Stay - Hotel
Reach Pantwari and unwind in the homestay. After lunch you will start prepartion for the trek. You will be taught how to read maps, sort equipments, manage ration, pack your backpacks and discuss about the troute ahead.
DAY 2: Pantawri to Kthian Stay - Tent Duration: 4 hours, 3.5km Trek through dense jungles filled with Oak and Deodar trees. It is a gradual ascent leading to Kthian where you can witness a majestic sunset and look at the glittering city of Dehradun at night. If you are an avid bird watcher, this place is the one for you. DAY3: Khtian to Nag Tibba top to Khtian Duration: 9 km; 5 hour trek Stay: Tent As you ascend to Nag Tibba you will start seeing the snowcapped peaks forming your horizon. Black peak, Gangotri range, Bandarpunch Range and the lesser Himalaya of Himachal Pradesh can be spotted form the top. DAY 4: Khitan to Pantwari Duration: 3.5 km; 3 hours trek Stay: Hotel Descend down to Pantwari and drive back to Dehradun.




Inclusions


Accommodation: Stay at hotel in Pantwari and at tents in all campsites will be covered by us. * Rooms and tents can be double or triple sharing. Meals: Three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and evening tea will be provided by us on all trek days. Included meals start with lunch at Pantwari on Day 1 and end with lunch at Pantwari on Day 4. Safety Equipment: First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinder, oximeter will be carried by the trip leader. Trip Leader: Experienced outdoor leader with Wilderness medical knowledge/Wilderness First Responder certified. Permissions: Permit for trekking will be taken care of by us. Local Guide: A licensed guide with ample experience as a Himalayan Guide & with good communication skills will be a part of the team.




Exclusions


Rescue: Travel Insurance is not included. Rescue expenses incurred by helicopter, horse, mule or any other means are not included. Transport: Taxi fare from Dehrdaun/ Rishikesh to Pantwari and back is not covered by the company. We will help arrange a taxi which you can share with the other trekkers and reach the base camp. Packaged drinking water is not included. Anything apart from Inclusion. Personal expenses of any kind.




Cancellation Policy


We as an organization put in our hundred percent to make sure that you get the best experience throughout the trek with us. To do so we personally book hotels for each of our treks prior to the trek date and ensure good quality and service. However we do understand that due to unforseen circumstances you might have to cancel your trek. We will process the refund as below- More than 30 days before the start of the trek or due to natural calamities- 4% cancellation fee 15 days - 30 days before start of trek – 15% cancellation fee 14 days - start of trek – No refund can be provided. The money will be transferred to the bank accounts from where the payment was made within a week.
